week five - up hill and down dale
Off to visit my sister Anne and her fiance Ben (sounds so posh) in t'Derbyshire dales tomorrow. Can't wait.
They are both running, jumping, climbing, skiing etc etc mad and I am going to mine them for information about training, living in cold weird situations, kit and altitude.
I have also asked them to take me on a long walk, up Kinder Scout - the highest peak in the Peak district, so am limbering up for some pain.

week five - heads, shoulders, knees and toes
Damo, my high-fiving (awesome-ness!) trainer at the gym, convinced me to take his 45 minute spin/circuit class yesterday.
With about 10 others, I ran round the small, roasting hot class room, gaining a stitch already and puffing embarrasingly. He grinned and evil grin and caught my eye to tell the whole class this is just the warm up...
Then we cycled, pressed-up, curled-up, kneed-up, starred jumped, crunched and planked until my face resembled a post box.
Today, my arms are so dead - both jelly-like and leaden at once - I feel like Kevin and Perry.
It's so unfair.

week five - feat
Was down on the riverside at Vauxhall cheering David Walliams past as he swam the last few hundred metres of his epic Thames swim for Sports Relief this afternoon.
It really put my challenge into perspective - nothing to it - a walk in the park!
