Never Knowlingly Undercatered

Liz has just this second completed the mammoth task of editing, layout, design and making amazing the recipe book! It is winging its way to Peter, our wonderful printer as I type this!

It is fantastic! I cannot thank you enough Liz - you are wonderful, and so so kind for devoting so much time and expertise to us and this project. It is really great!

how are we getting on?

We had a fab afternoon, with Amanda and Sam birlliantly hosting a family fun party at a Scout hut in leafy South Croydon. Their friends all brought their kiddies and we played, ate, watched the best puppet show by Mary which kept everyone (parents included) rapt for half an hour and then made puppets.

Everyone was generous with sponsorship and advice and really kind with good wishes - Thank you everyone who came to have a nice afternoon and support our adventure, and raise some more money for Marie Curie!

We are now just about at the two thirds mark of our fundraising total, and still have some events to go as well as this awesome book coming out next week. Can't wait!

exclusive The Making Of photos

Rosie, Ming, Tom and I made some fabulous food for the photos to go in the recipe book today.

Here are some exclusive the making of the photos pictures!

Rosie is looking very perky for someone who is off to walk a marathon tonight for Cancer Research UK. Go go go!

lost track of weeks

It now seems so close to the trek that I am beginning to freak out.

Rosie is looking at boots and I am trying to work out how to get the massive puffy coat that we will both need for when we aren't walking and making lots of heat. Scary.

This weekend will see us almost finishing the recipe book and sending it to the wonderful Liz to layout in a beautiful way. So we are getting there with that.

Progress is marvellous but it also means we are getting closer to lift-off....

week six - the cake part of mountains molehills and cake

Rosie and I have pretty much put together the best recipes for this cookbook I can think of - we have been so lucky with our kind and fabulous family.

We have been able to steal the secrets of life itself (over dramatic?) from Barry, Vonnie, Mary, Anne, Judy and Amanda. Plus a healthy sprinkle of fun and delicious joy from Sam, Tom, Charlotte, Emily, Jo, Carol and of course me and Rosie too. Amazing!

Now we are looking forward to some great artistry from Liz and Ming and ta daaaaaa, we will have a gorgeous thing to delight the palette and the senses! All yours for a generous donation to your charity of choice (ours).

Can't wait!
